ASSIGNMENTS AT SHEVELL GROUP

The Shevell Group of
transportation companies, headquartered in Elizabeth,
NJ, has announced several organizational changes:
Thomas Connery of
Colts Neck, NJ, has been promoted to executive vice
president, chief operating officer of
less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier NEMF (New England
Motor Freight). He had joined the company as EVP last
year.
Connery is a veteran of
22 years in the trucking industry and had been with
Con-way Freight in Boston, where he was region manager
for New England prior to joining NEMF.
John Luciani of
Cumberland, RI, has been promoted to director of
operations for NEMF, based at the Providence, RI,
terminal, with responsibility for all operations,
including line haul. He had been New England region
sales manager.
Luciani joined NEMF as
the Providence terminal manager in 2004. Before that he
had worked for Carolina Freight, St. Johnsbury Trucking
and New Penn Motor Express in a variety of managerial
positions, and had also been part owner of an
entrepreneurial trucking venture.
Ed Generous of
Cheshire, CT, has been promoted to senior vice president
of sales and marketing for The Shevell Group,
responsible for sales at all companies in the group.
Generous, who has more
than 30 years of industry experience, joined NEMF in
2002 as vice president of national accounts. Prior to
that, he had been vice president of northeast group
sales and marketing responsible for national accounts
and field sales for Yellow Transportation.
Craig Eisenberg of
Marlboro, NJ, has been promoted to senior vice president
of finance and chief financial officer of The Shevell
Group. He will have additional corporate responsibility
for Shevell Group companies Apex Logistics, Carrier
Industries and Eastern Freight Ways.
Eisenberg joined the
company in 1998 with extensive financial management
experience in the transportation industry. For the
preceding 10 years, he was CFO and director of a group
of 12 related companies doing $200 million worth of
business in transportation, real estate, construction
products and steel service.
Ernest Hardy of
Middletown, NJ, vice president of risk management, will
add responsibilities for training and human resources at
The Shevell Group. Hardy joined The Shevell Group 23
years ago as director of safety and was promoted to vice
president in 1990.

Shevell Group include NEMF (New England Motor Freight,
less-than truckload carrier), Carrier Industries
(third-party logistics, dedicated fleet, warehousing),
Eastern Freight Ways (asset based truckload carrier),
Apex Logistics (brokerage, nationwide truckload) and
NEMF World Transport (non-vessel operating common
carrier).
