NANCY SHEVELL INDUCTED INTO JP STEVENS HALL OF HONOR
Joins Brother as First Siblings to Earn Prestigious Accolade

Edison, NJ (April 23, 2002) - Nancy Shevell, Vice President, Administration, of New England Motor Freight (NEMF) and the Shevell Group of Transportation Companies, was recently inducted into the JP Stevens High School Hall of Honor for her achievements in the transportation industry. This marked the first time that siblings have been so honored as Ms. Shevell joined her brother, NEMF Executive Vice President Jon Shevell, who was inducted with the charter class 1998.

"Nancy stands as a role model to all of our students that aspire to have successful business careers," said Cathy DiGioia, Student Activities Director at JP Stevens. "Her strength of character made her an even more perfect candidate for this auspicious honor."

Every four years, JP Stevens High School honors a group of outstanding graduates for excellence in their professional careers and/or dedication to their community. Nancy Shevell was inducted along with 11 others in a ceremony at the Woodbridge Sheraton on April 18th. Earlier in the day, the inductees spent the afternoon at the school, where they met with students that shared similar goals and aspirations.

Nancy joined NEMF in 1983 as Manager of Administration and advanced to Director of Administration before being promoted to her current post in 1986. In June of 2001, New York Governor George Pataki appointed Ms. Shevell to the Board of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. She is also co-chairperson of the Arlene Walters Shevell Endowment Scholarship Fund, a family foundation.

Nancy Shevell earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Arizona State University where she majored in transportation and was the recipient of the Fred Hurley Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in Transportation. She is active in numerous charities and public interest organizations.
