New England Motor Freight and Manitoulin Transport sign partnership agreement. (August 11, 2009)
August 11, 2009, Elizabeth, NJ - New England Motor Freight (NEMF), headquartered in Elizabeth, New Jersey announces a major partnership agreement with Manitoulin Transport of Toronto, Ontario. This initiative takes effect August 31st, 2009. Under the terms of the agreement, Manitoulin will receive all NEMF freight over Buffalo and Albany, NY for deliveries, to Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada. To complete the exchange Manitoulin freight destined for the Northeast United States will flow through NEMF for final delivery.
Ed Generous, NEMF's Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing stated, "Speed and consistency through our customer supply chain is critical today. This partnership will allow for seamless cross-border operation between our companies and by offering the most direct service points, we will improve our transit time and consistency of service with this partnership. Both members of the partnership will benefit from the complete integration of IT components to offer seamless connectivity and optimum service levels to our customers."
