Series of promotions at NEMF accelerate growth strategy (July, 2008)

July 9, 2008 Elizabeth, NJ - New England Motor Freight (NEMF) today announced a series of promotions first of long-time NEMF employee Ben DiNapoli to Vice President of Strategic Markets. Ben has been with the company for 26 years and has held various positions including Account Executive, City Sales Manager, Director of Sales and Vice President of Field Sales. Now in his new role Ben will be responsible for directing the sales effort for Canada and Puerto Rico as well as strategic partnerships, which include partner carriers, AAA Cooper and Oak Harbor Freightways, Midwest Motor Express and Concord Transportation. He will also direct sales administrative functions, and work with the IT group to improve their SFA (Sales Force Automation) platform. In addition he will be in charge of developing new business opportunities that will leverage the strength and synergies of the Shevell Group of Companies. Ben will continue to report to Senior Vice President of Sales, Ed Generous.

Also joining NEMF is Mark Casiano, Mark will assume the role of Vice President of Field Sales. Mark has over 20 years of experience in the transportation industry, most recently, as Vice President of National Accounts for Jevic Transportation. Mark joined Jevic in 1997 as a National Account Executive. Prior to joining Jevic, Mark spent 7 years with Con-way transportation as a National Account Executive. Mark brings significant skills and leadership abilities, which will assist NEMF in solidifying their position as a premier LTL carrier. According to Senior Vice President of Sales, Ed Generous, "Mark is experienced, knowledgeable and an excellent addition to carry out our business development initiatives".

Third is the promotion of John Luciani to the position of Vice President of Operations. John most recently served as Director of Operations for NEMF and he will continue to be responsible for all operations at the network of terminals throughout the U.S. and Canada. John has been instrumental in improving service product since his appointment to Director of Operations in July of 2007. John joined NEMF in 2004 as a terminal manager at their Providence, RI facility. In March of 2007, he was promoted to Regional Sales Manager, New England. Prior to joining NEMF, John spent 9 years with New Penn in a variety of roles including terminal manager, and Vice President of Operations, New England Region. He also spent two years as a principal in his own trucking company. I'm confident that he will continue to raise the bar and insure we maintain our consistently high level of service," stated Executive VP and C.O.O, Tom Connery.
