NEMF HONORED BY XEROX
November 21, 2005
Xerox has presented New
England Motor Freight (NEMF) with its Outstanding
Achievement Award for 2004. NEMF received the award for
accepting and meeting the challenges of Xerox's Suffern,
NY-based sort and segregate operation when their
previous carrier, USF-Red Star, went out of business.
The award was presented
at the Xerox Corporate Headquarters in Webster, NY. Tom
Ringwood, National Account Executive, accepted the award
on behalf of NEMF. "Bringing in this business and
meeting Xerox's expectations was a very challenging
task," said Ringwood. "However, within less
than a month, we had the process perfected. Our
operation in Newburgh, NY, is now the model for all
Xerox sort and segregate operations nationwide."
Based in Elizabeth, NJ,
family-owned NEMF (www.nemf.com) is the largest LTL
carrier in the Northeast region. It operates 30
terminals throughout the Northeast, Florida, Puerto Rico
and Canada, and reaches 85 percent of the U.S.
population through service partnerships. NEMF is a
member of the Shevell Group of Companies, which also
includes Carrier Industries (third-party logistics and
dedicated fleet), Eastern Freight Ways (Northeast
truckload carrier), Apex Logistics (brokerage -
nationwide truckload) and NEMF World Transport (Puerto
Rico).
