NEMF's NEWBURGH FACILITY
IS NAMED TERMINAL OF THE YEAR
February 7, 2006
The NEMF Newburgh, NY,
area terminal (located at 194 Neelytown Road,
Montgomery, NY) was named Terminal of the Year at the
regional motor carrier's annual dinner.
The Newburgh terminal
earned very high marks in 2005, increasing its revenue
and improving both its operating ratio and on-time
delivery service rate.
In determining the award,
NEMF measures each terminal's performance in a variety
of areas. Judging criteria include safety, customer
service, revenue growth and profit improvement over the
prior year.
Terminal Manager Gerry
Saltalamachia, of Newburgh, who has been terminal
manager since 2002, accepted the award on behalf of the
Newburgh terminal's 100 employees. The 100-door facility
is the base for 35 daily routes.
"It's a pleasure to
work with the staff here. They're hard working and take
pride in their accomplishments. It was an honor to
accept the award on their behalf. It's a great thing for
all of us-something to be proud of," Saltalamachia
said.
